My group and I had an amazing time on The Barrel Run! From the very first email exchange to the closing of our event we were treated with the best customer service. David, Denise, and Danielle were extremely informative and answered ALL my questions with patience and kindness. The tour bus is such a vibe…it was around the holiday so they had Christmas lights hanging inside. We were able to bring drinks of our own on the bus and play our own music along the ride. The tour itself was so much fun. Great breweries to choose from. Our guide/driver (David) was so nice and pleasant. I highly recommend, 100/10.

The Barrel Run is a very fun and exciting experience. The vehicle is classy and is a nice ride. The driver was very professional and courteous. He literally checked on all the passengers during the tours of each location. The tours were very fun and informative. We will definitely do it again!

Hosts were knowledgeable and freely gave of their time, and our driver Sheryl was fabulous and went out if her way to show us around. Highly recommend it.

This is like stepping onto a barrel time machine made by Doc Brown.  The door opens just like Doc’s train at the end of Back to the Future III.  This bus is a piece of sheer beauty alone before a tour even starts.  I would think this could be showcased in a movie since the craftsmanship is out of this world.  I would probably pay an admission just to ride in it.

The bus itself is very cool and surprisingly comfortable. The seating is in the round, which gave me pause safety wise, but the driving was professional smooth and frankly safer than my driving. The driver/guide was very friendly and personable, filled with interesting stories and information, and very attentive to everyone’s comfort and experience at each venue. The venues and beer vary, but Burning Bush, Revolution and Pilot Project were all very welcoming and informative and excited to have us. Would absolutely recommend and will consider going again.

I hired The Barrel Run for a corporate networking event on October 1. Not only was the team incredibly professional from a planning perspective, but the day-of execution was exceptional as well! The uniqueness of the event was a major draw for those that joined us. For a corporate networking event, the natural changing of seats as you get on/off the bus was perfect for keeping the conversations going!

Whenever we’re back in Chicago, The Barrel Run will be my first call.

Danielle and the Barrel Run team were excellent to work with. Throughout the entire planning phase, Danielle was very responsive and open to working with us on all our ideas for the day of. The Barrel Bus showed up early on the day of the event and allowed us to get our snacks and drinks loaded in. The bus was extremely clean and spacious. The ride was smooth, and we got to our destinations on time. Their partnerships with the breweries are truly amazing because it was a simple process, from showing up to each brewery and getting a drink for all of our attendees quickly. I would highly recommend the Barrel Run for any event!

We went on the brewery tour with a group of six, and this was such a great deal! You get a few beers included and can drink on the bus. It’s a great social event, and it was fun to see different breweries around Chicago! We got a mini tour on one, so you get some beer education, but not a ton if you’re mainly looking for that. But I would definitely recommend this for a few hours of drinking fun!

Our office group took a very affordable two-hour tour. The barrel took us to locations around the city that had gangster/speakeasy-era historical significance. Our fun tour guide showed us around and told us about the history “in character” as a gangster-era guy. We were able to bring our own beer/wine to keep costs down.

I couldn’t recommend this organization and the Prohibition tour more! We have done this now for both a work event (which was great for both the locals and non-locals!) and a friend’s birthday—the team made the logistics smooth, and we enjoyed every minute of it!

We really enjoyed riding around in a beer barrel bus! We visited three breweries and sampled good varieties of beer at each one. The driver, David, was a great guide. He told stories and gave brief histories of certain areas of downtown Chicago. It was a fun trip, and we’ll do it again!

I booked the Barrel Run private tour for my birthday, and it was a great experience. From planning to going, I could not recommend it more! The company provides a few options for brewery stops for the private tour package and then reaches out to them to do the booking. David, the founder, was our host and driver and was very informative and a great guide. We could BYOB and snacks on the bus and ice and trash bins were provided. The bus itself was clean, spacious, and so fun! If you are on the fence – book this experience now; you won’t regret it!

Fantastic experience. Pick-up and drop-off at each stop were seamless. Great choice of breweries along the tour. The bus is clean and surprisingly spacious. And come on, how cool is it to be driven around the city in a barrel? David is the ultimate professional. Chicago has an enviable craft beer scene that gets heard about even in Australia. This tour takes you to some fantastic breweries around Chicago in a bus shaped like a barrel! I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone who loves beer or just a generally great time.
